ISLANDER is a band which consists of four musicians who live and work in the Greater Toronto Area of Canada. Each member has his own impressive list of musical accomplishments and brings a vast amount of musical experience and expertise to the stage.

Albert MacDonald (Lead Guitar and who is invisible on this picture) hails from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He has produced and engineered some of Canada's finest talent and plays guitar with the band. Albert is listed as one of the top country music producers in Canada.

Larris Benoit (Bass Guitar and Vocals) played with the New Carlton Showband and comes from a big family which happens to be a long line of established players with a rich French/Newfoundland musical heritage deep-seeded in the "Cape" area of Newfoundland. If you can throw a country, bluegrass, or Newfoundland song at him that he cannot improvise to or play along with, he will gladly hang up his instrument. . . . . . . . . . . That's why he's still playing.

Luke Cox (Drums and Vocals) was also born and raised in Newfoundland and had the benefit of listening to country and Newfoundland Music as a kid. What makes Luke's contribution to the band unique is that his early longings were in the Rock & Roll genre, but with a close ear to the ground of his father's love of true (Irish flavoured) Newfoundland music. Figgy Duff was the ultimate compromise between his Dad's music and his - Rock and Irish/Newfoundland. Luke also plays guitar and has one album of all original songs to his credit called ADRIFT.

Jason Martin (Rhythm guitar and Vocals) was born and raised in Lamaline, Newfoundland. He comes from a family who has a great love for country music. As early as he can remember he learned how to play guitar sitting around with his Dad and his Uncles.

He has a very distinct vocal tone which is aptly suited for the style of songs he brings to the table.
